A close-up interior shot of a renovated camper dinette featuring bold, geometric-patterned upholstery in charcoal, mustard, and cream, wrapping around a live-edge oak table with a satin finish. The seating is built into crisp white shiplap walls, with matte-black metal brackets and industrial-style hardware that feel rugged yet refined. Large windows along the side walls reveal a soft, defocused forest of Appalachian pines and ferns. Late afternoon sunlight pours in, casting angular shadows across the tabletop and making the wood grain glow. Photographic realism with shallow depth of field keeps the foreground razor sharp while the forest outside melts into smooth bokeh, creating an energetic, modern, and inviting atmosphere perfect for planning the next adventure.

About Appalachian Camper Revival

We work with you to reimagine your existing camper
into your dream escape.

What makes you think about upgrading your camper?

  • Dated appearance?
  • Tired interior?
  • Lack of connectivity?
  • Too much formica?
  • Flimsy fixtures?
  • Not pet-friendly enough?

You don’t need a brand new camper. You don’t need to purchase a big package of things you don’t want in order to get the amenities you do want.

Let’s design. Let’s play!

Meet Your Maker

Our East Tennessee designers are campers themselves, personalizing rigs to meet unfulfilled needs.

Jeff is a ACR’s owner, a life-long camper, a retired educator, a leatherworker, and geeked-out maker. His favorite thing is to watch an idea that started in the mind become a tangible reality in the hand.

While we might take on some repairs during a redesign, we are not a “repair shop”. There are plenty of those in the area. We are a design-and-craft shop for those who want to personalize their camping experience.

An overhead, bird’s-eye view of a design worktable inside a camper renovation shop, covered with bold camper makeover materials. Spread out neatly are large floorplan sketches of a trailer, paint swatches in deep navy, burnt orange, and crisp white, samples of textured upholstery fabrics, and strips of weathered barn wood. A miniature silver camper model sits at the center, surrounded by measuring tapes, carpenter pencils, and a tablet showing a 3D rendering of a revamped interior. Strong, directional workshop lighting from a metal pendant above creates vivid highlights and hard-edged shadows, giving the scene a dynamic, energetic feel. Photographic realism with sharp detail and a clean, top-down composition emphasizes the creative, hands-on planning process behind every camper revival.
A vintage silver Airstream camper with weathered aluminum panels and faded turquoise stripes sits in front of a rustic wooden workshop painted deep forest green. The camper’s side door is open to reveal a half-finished, dramatically updated interior with bold matte-black cabinetry and warm hickory floors. Golden hour sunlight cuts across the gravel driveway, creating sharp, confident shadows and a bright rim of light along the camper’s curves. Behind it, stacks of reclaimed lumber, rolls of fabric, and tool chests are softly out of focus. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a slightly wide lens, crisp detail throughout, conveying a bold, adventurous mood and the promise of transformation for old trailers.

Origins

Appalachian Camper Revival started in a 600-square-foot East Tennessee garage. Today our mission is to rescue worn-out trailers, blend vintage charm with modern comfort, and send new generations out exploring together.

A rugged Appalachian campsite at dawn featuring a dramatically renovated camper trailer parked on a small gravel pad, its exterior painted matte deep green with bold cream accent stripes and a black roof rack. The camper’s awning is extended, sheltering a pair of empty camp chairs and a sleek, portable firepit with a few glowing embers. Mist clings to the surrounding mountains and tall pines, softened by cool, blue-grey early morning light. The camper’s interior glows warmly from within, visible through large windows, hinting at wood accents and modern fixtures. Photographic realism, shot from a low angle that makes the camper feel powerful and ready for adventure, with a wide composition capturing both the trailer and the sweeping, moody Appalachian landscape.

Workshop

We live and breathe the Cherokee National Forest and Ocoee River. For some projects, we can come to you. For others, we work with your camper at our site.
